Cindy - PM - 1 HR - Bridge

Today in open lab, I began sketching bridge designs for the civil structures competition for MESA. I separated the designs into two categories: the structure that the bridge consists of, and the shape of the bridge. For the structure of the bridge I have two designs. The first design consists of a diagonal balsa wood stick placed between two vertical sticks. The second design consists of two diagonal sticks with vertical sticks on the sides of the "X" made from the two diagonal sticks. For the shape of the bridge, I have two designs as well. The first design is a pentagon shape while the second design is a triangular shape. Next time in open lab, I will finish up on the sketches of the bridges.
